RESILIENCE IN OUTDOOR RECREATION

Resilience in recreation is quickly becoming industry standard. The outdoor recreation industry can parallel emergency response in terms of exposure to hazardous stress, which is why we are supporting integration of Resilience Teams and best practices in outdoor recreation.

As more employers begin to recognize this rapidly evolving need, we’re seeing a dramatic increase in outreach for support from the outdoor recreation industry. The video above highlights Eldora Mountain, showcasing one example where resort-wide stress and resilience training is helping protect employees from increasingly stressful roles.

Other resources, including the Climbing Grief Fund, S.O.A.R., Mountain Muskox, the Redside Foundation, and the Whale Foundation, demonstrate the growing need for reactive support in this industry. As a proactive organization, we work to prevent and mitigate stress injury, reducing the impact of trauma and burnout across the industry.
