Psychological First Response
for REscue
The Responder Alliance Psychological First Response for Rescue introduces a system for assessing and caring for patients experiencing overwhelm or trauma. This training is a recommended skillset and universal precaution for anyone who may respond to incidents as part of their occupation, with a focus on resilience teams, caregivers, dispatch, and everyone who has contact with patients experiencing trauma.
Psychological First Response curriculum includes:
A patient assessment system
Tangible actions for meaningful field-based care.
A novel continuity-of-care protocol to support patients in the hours, days, and weeks after the event.
Skills that are protective against stress injury, both for those involved in incidents and for responders.
